TEG Oceanographic Services founded in 1988, is a California based corporation and a small business enterprise... (SBE) with offices located in Santa Cruz and Watsonville on the central coast. TEG provides specialized marine scientific survey services to industry, government agencies, environmental and engineering firms worldwide. Clients include Ports and Harbors, US Navy, USGS, USCG, Corps. of Engineers, Consultants, and the Petroleum Industry.

While TEG still maintains sampling services for clients in petroleum and minerals exploration overseas, our principal domestic market is environmental monitoring and geotechnical investigations. TEG has considerable experience working under clean chemistry sampling protocols for Superfund and HazMat sites, toxicity and dredge spoils bioassay testing, and contaminant testing for aquatic ecological assessments. TEG is also an experienced PACDIV and SOUTHWESTDIV Navy Clean contractor having performed over one hundred such sediment sampling programs for Bechtel, PRC/TTEMI, Jacobs, and Ogden Environmental.

TEG has an extensive inventory of field equipment including survey vessels, portable marine drill barges, precision positioning systems, and a variety of hydrographic, and oceanographic instrumentation and hardware and diving support systems. TEG also offers an unparalleled array of innovative marine sediment sampling and coring/drilling systems, designed and built "in house"; specifically to support our marine sediment programs. TEG currently has four vibrocoring systems available on the West Coast. All of these systems are designed to be highly portable, modular systems which can, and often are easily shipped anywhere in the world and can operate from any number of different vessels of opportunity.

Our highly experienced personnel have worked on marine projects throughout the world developing new technologies and innovative methods to solve complex oceanographic problems. The development of TEG's R/C Vibrolift Drill and Submersible Rotary Core Drill Systems were designed and built specifically to address a need for new technologies required for offshore minerals exploration and geotechnical investigations respectively. These projects previously had relied on land based drill systems that have repeatedly proved to be both expensive and highly sea state and weather dependent.
